Ahmedabad

Project Implementation Plan

Facebook Link:
KarmaKonnect initiative aims to support young entrepreneurs, Gira and Gayatri, from SBR PM Awaas, Ahmedabad, who create handmade Rakhis to support their low-income school and community. The project will provide them with mentorship, market access, and a platform to showcase their work, promoting self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.

• Skill Development & Mentorship: Provide training in entrepreneurship, product design, and marketing through mentors like Tina SOUL CONNECT.
Market Access & Sales Support: Facilitate exhibitions at offices, communities, and online platforms for maximum outreach.
Community Empowerment: Encourage local buying to promote self-sustaining income for artisans.
Awareness & Engagement: Use social media and community networks to promote handmade Rakhis and ethical consumerism.

Project Challenges

Limited Market Access – Finding platforms and buyers willing to support handmade Rakhis over mass-produced alternatives.

Financial Constraints – Lack of initial capital to procure raw materials, packaging, and transportation for selling their products.

• Seasonal Nature of Demand – Rakhis are sold primarily during the Raksha Bandhan season, making year-round income generation difficult.

Brand Visibility & Marketing – Overcoming the challenge of marketing handmade products effectively in a competitive market dominated by large-scale manufacturers.

Logistics & Distribution – Managing deliveries and setting up physical exhibition desks in different locations efficiently.

Product Pricing & Profitability – Balancing affordability for buyers while ensuring fair wages and profit margins for entrepreneurs.

Results & Outcome

Increased financial independence for young entrepreneurs.
Community engagement in supporting locally made products.
Strengthening the ecosystem of ethical, small-scale businesses.

Call to Action:
Support by purchasing Rakhis, setting up a sales desk, or spreading awareness about the initiative.
