Ensuring well being of our kids amid lock-down.
Amid global coronavirus outbreak, life for many has come to a standstill as a lockdown across the nation.
In such a situation we aim to help people around us who majorly depend on daily wages, the tribals and the slum dwellers, by distributing things of daily necessity and food.
Project Challenges
During the lockdown period, life has become extremely difficult for daily wage workers, labourers, people working in unorganised sectors and slum dwellers.
It is nearly impossible for them to procure two square meals and other necessities of life.
Results & Outcome
When we connect with children for education initiatives; we connect with them for life.Our involvement moves beyond just regular academic education to that of genuine care and concern in the environment they live.
We are proud to have our Shwas-breathe life into team reach out to each of the learning center kids across different slums in Ahmedabad to ensure they are safe and their families have enough to survive these trying times. The Municipal Corporation is providing help too, but there’s always something more we can do!

Shwas is an effort started by a group of volunteers to educate the underprivileged kids of Gulbai Tekra, Ahmedabad since the year 2009. We attempt to provide a safe and healthy environment to children coming from disadvantaged families so that they can openly share with us the challenges they face that hold them back from aspiring their dreams. Shwas teaches kids every day for two hours. Our focus is value-based education, which includes teaching manners, inculcating sense of hygiene and helping them to follow and fulfil their dreams. We also enrol potential students into a private school to ensure continuous quality education. Also, we celebrate festivals, birthdays and events with them like a family.
