OUR IMPACT
Support First Line of Defence Schools on I.B. LoC LAC in JK and Ladakh UTs
LoC LAC in JK and Ladakh UTs
Students Children living on I.B. LoC LAC are living in very odd situations and can not be described in words.JKSC working to give them Assistance since 2013. Its moral responsibility all of us to assist them for living at their locations so that we safe.
The project involves installing digital classrooms in our study centers, where we solicit and channelize laptops, desktops, CPUs, projectors, and other devices to facilitate digital learning for students deprived of quality education.
• With the support of local volunteers, school teachers, and dedicated social workers, we operate and maintain these digital classrooms, exposing students to engaging and curriculum-aligned digital content.
Audio-visual materials are streamed using projectors, speakers, and screens to stimulate students' imagination and enhance their learning experience.
• This transition from traditional chalkboard teaching to flexible online education addresses challenges such as the unavailability of printed study materials, irregular schooling, and the lack of innovative learning resources accessible to urban children from privileged backgrounds. In particular, children living along the International Border (IB), Line of Control (LoC), and Line of Actual Control (LAC) endure extremely difficult conditions that are hard to describe in words.
• Since 2013, JKSC has been dedicated to assisting them, recognizing it as our collective moral responsibility to support their education and well-being so they can continue to thrive in their communities while ensuring a safer and more secure future.
• The hands that should be holding books and pens are now grasping deadly mortar shells. In the border regions of Rajouri, where the echoes of school bells should resonate, the thunder of cross-border shelling has taken over. Pakistan’s relentless firing has forced schools to shut down, disrupting the education of countless children.
• Education in these areas has become a casualty of conflict. Exams are affected, preparations are disrupted, and the dreams of these children are overshadowed by violence. Despite efforts by security forces and local administration to ensure safety, the unpredictability of attacks keeps the future uncertain.
• For children living along the International Border (IB), Line of Control (LoC), and conflict-prone zones, school is no longer a place of learning but a battlefield of survival. While the rest of the country moves forward in digital learning and technological advancements, these young souls are learning lessons of resilience amid chaos.
• It is a collective responsibility to ensure that their hands hold books instead of bombs, that their classrooms are filled with knowledge instead of fear, and that their future is shaped by education, not war.
• Increased Awareness: The alarming reality of children in conflict zones has gained national and international attention, sparking discussions on the need for urgent interventions.
• Call for Peace & Stability: The situation underscores the importance of diplomatic and humanitarian efforts to ensure that education is prioritized over conflict, securing a better future for affected children.
